Works seamlessly with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, and Domestika. One extension for meetings, videos, and learning content.
Your conversations stay completely private. No conversation or video data captured or stored on our servers.
Save transcripts as TXT, JSON, or SRT subtitle files. Choose original or translated text — perfect for meeting notes, video editing, or archiving.
Sign in with Google to use included Soniox translation within your plan limits, or add your own Soniox API key in Settings for unlimited usage and pay-as-you-go billing from Soniox.
Listen to translated text in a natural voice while your meeting continues. "Narrate their voice" reads others' speech aloud; "Narrate my voice" speaks your words into the meeting in their language.
Hover any translation line and open AI actions instantly: Explain to understand intent, or Generate answer to reply faster during live conversations.
Both translate in real time across 60+ languages. They differ in where the sound can come from — and in how much else they do.

Add to Browser — It's FreeYou need to translate audio from any application — the Zoom or Teams desktop client, a media player, a game, internal software. It captures whatever your PC is playing.

No. Translations are displayed only on your screen as a local overlay. Other participants in the meeting cannot see your translations. The extension works silently in the background, visible only to you.
Currently, Live Translator is available as a Chrome extension and works on all Chromium-based browsers including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Arc. Support for Firefox is planned for a future release.
Yes! Download transcripts as TXT or JSON for free. Pro users can also export as SRT subtitle files with original or translated text — perfect for video editing, media players, or archiving. All formats include timestamps for easy reference.
Absolutely. Your Soniox API key is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers. The extension communicates directly between your browser and Soniox, so you keep full control of key usage and revocation.
The browser extension has more features — webpage translation, dubbing, screen recording, auto-save — but it can only translate audio playing inside your browser. The Windows app has a smaller feature set, and translates audio from any application on your PC: desktop Zoom or Teams, media players, games, internal tools. See the full comparison.
Yes. One account and one license cover both editions — there is nothing extra to buy. You can install the extension and the Windows app on the same machine and run them side by side.
